About Us

Seed is a Toronto-based, Canadian not-for-profit with a mission to create enriched and inclusive learning opportunities for Iranian children. Seed was founded in 2019 in response to the growing number of Iranian children who are left out of the schooling system and have to face the inequalities and injustice caused by their illiteracy.

OUR MISSION

Every year, there are a great number of Iranian kids who are not able to attend school. A large number of students who join the school will drop out in the first few years. And for those remaining in the school, many are struggling to learn.

At Seed, we aim to change the dynamics of this game. We want to introduce kids to a large number of quality resources, content, and educational games that will support their learning process. We want kids anywhere in Iran to be able to explore books, do science experiments, try robotics, and get engaged in many other activities that foster their learning.

To accomplish this mission, we partner with communities of users and experts to help them get started on this path. We provide design and development expertise to help these ideas get off the ground. We tap into our networks to ensure these ideas are rooted in the community and built with children and not for them. We work together to find financial means for implementing these projects to turn them into game changing products and services.
